My Entourage is v. 12.3.6 I downloaded the Web Services updater (v. 13.1.1) and tried to update, but when it came to selecting the target disk, the Mac was greyed out and inaccessible and I could go no further. The languages, as far as I can see, are the same and the versions of Mac operating system, Entourage and updater seem to be compatible.

It has not been 12.3.1 or anything else except 12.3.6 since before I started this hare running. I do not understand the following from your reply: ' Microsoft Exchange Server: Connectivity to Update Rollup 4 for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 (KB952580) or later version.' This reads like an update to the server itself, but I have no access to this. I have an Exchange email address and, using my Mac's Mail application at home, can send and receive emails to and from the college I teach at, but cannot do so using Entourage.
Entourage Web Services Edition
I cannot update the server, but as far as I know the college's IT department keeps its system up to date. I repeat that my version of Office, including Entourage, has been updated beyond 12.3.1 — up to 12.3.6 — since long before I tried to use Entourage. Nonetheless, when I tried to apply the Exchange Web Services updater, it stated that it could not find any suitable application to update. Please clarify the situation concerning ' Microsoft Exchange Server: Connectivity to Update Rollup 4 for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 (KB952580) or later version'.
